Megan Rose Miley is a journalist and digital content creator with experience across national, regional and hyperlocal media. Her reporting covers politics, social justice, disability rights, culture and community issues, with bylines in The Canary, National World, The Lancashire Evening Post, The Lancashire Telegraph and Blog Preston.
Megan has completed a Master’s degree in Journalism at the University of Portsmouth, achieving a Merit alongside NCTJ training. She also holds a degree in English Literature and brings strong research, interviewing, copywriting, editing and SEO skills to her work. Her journalism is driven by a commitment to accuracy, clarity and giving people a platform to have their voices heard.
Alongside written reporting, Megan produces digital-first journalism, including short-form video and social media content. She has a strong understanding of how stories are developed and shared across platforms while maintaining editorial integrity and impact.
Megan currently works as a freelance Local Democracy Reporter, producing digital-first political and community journalism and interviewing a wide range of contributors, including MPs.
